Youth Yard Sale for THE Cause!

Youth Yard Sale for THE Cause!

1/23/2010

We had a YOUTH yard sale and had a blast!  The church donated all the items and we prayed that it would be a great opportunity to share the Gospel (live out THE Cause).  It was!   The students and adults both "brought God up" in conversation as we interacted with the customers (carrying items to their car).  It was awesome to see and there was even one lady that came in and said I don't believe in the deity of Christ (literally came out and said that randomly).  After my wife talked to her, she got me and we talked for awhile and pointed out the Scriptures that pointed to the deity of Christ.  After showing her this, she felt her need for a Savior.

It was neat to see our church begin to look like the book of Acts (Acts 2) over one event----people sold their possessions and gave to those in need (some to youth and some to Haiti), met together (4 times this week), ate together, prayed, and were devoted to THE Cause (teachings), and people came to Christ!

The people could not believe that we were selling almost everything for 25 to 50 cents!   We said we just want to be a blessing to the community!  We made 1600.00 dollars (still can't believe it......you should have seen the junk)!

John,

That is simply awesome! I love the fact that all of the selling of possessions, giving to those in need and fellowship is in the context of THE Cause! You are blazing the trail for what it means to live THE Cause and lead THE Cause, not just on a youth, but on a church-wide level! Praise God!!!
